It’s Friday, and I have another great South Florida venue to share with you! It’s The Diplomat Beach Resort located in Hollywood, Florida. I had the pleasure of a Saturday Brunch at The Diplomat, thanks to a collaboration between Fort Lauderdale Bloggers and The Diplomat Beach Resort. And I gotta say, it was AWE-SOME!
When I arrived I was greeted by fellow South Florida bloggers and the Diplomat’s Marketing Manager, Melinda and Marketing & Events Coordinator, Christina.
As we waited for the other bloggers to arrive, I could not help but notice their new, sexy Hotel Bar. The Hotel Bar is an indoor-outdoor bar highlighting classic cocktails from historic hotel bars around the world and famous local bartenders in the South Florida region. Paying homage to the cocktails made famous in global hotels, the menu features drinks including the Singapore Sling (The Raffles Hotel), the Nacional Cocktail (The Hotel Nacional) and the Vieux Carre (The Hotel Monteleone).
In addition to a list of classic sections like the Manhattan and the Dark & Stormy, the bar celebrates cocktails from recognized bartenders in the surrounding area, including the Papa Doble from Julio Cabrera featuring light rum, luxardo maraschino liqueur, fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice and lime juice, and the Toasted Marshmallow Old Fashioned from Elad Zvi made with Bourbon, toasted marshmallow syrup, dash of orange bitters, Dale DeGroff’s Pimento Bitters and garnished with mini toasted marshmallows and orange oil.
Speaking of sexy, feast your eyes on these mouth-watering cocktails from The Hotel Bar:

Our first stop was at The Diplomat Resort’s Point Royal Restaurant for an appetizing brunch. For my first round of food, I stopped by the omelette station and also filled my plate with lots of goodies.
Round 2!
After a wonderful brunch at Point Royal, we crossed this beautiful bridge: Once over the bridge, we arrived at…

After touring the restaurants, we got a sneak peek into the deluxe rooms with magnificent views of the beach and surrounding areas.
